The 2010/2011 PG Rotary Board of Directors committed to make a $2,500.00 contribution to Music Camp International, a music day camp program that brings the healing gift of music to the children of Ukraine and Romania. In countries that have traditionally limited these opportunities to an elite few, Music Camp International specializes in working with the disadvantaged, the orphans, and children in the social welfare system. All children participate, regardless of family or economic background. At the end of the week-long camp, a concert is presented on a major concert stage with the accompaniment of local symphony orchestras and professional musicians.
